This is another introduced species.  Several severe bites have been recorded from this species. It is usually found in damp sites, under rubbish or stones.

Body length: male up to 11mm, female up to 14mm.   
Colour: as illustrated
Identification: by colour, large fangs and the presence of six eyes.
Egg sac: a silken retreat in which the mother seals herself with the eggs until the young are independent
Eggs: imm in diameter, rich cream in colour, 25-40 in number
Dimorphism: male slimmer and slightly smaller
Food: slaters
